CMP Science Olympiad

Elementary Science Olympiad (Grades 3rd-5th), Division B (Grades 6th-9th)

Coaches: (3rd-5th) Katie Cox (kcox@cacmp.org), (6th-8th) Bob Thomas (rthomas@cacmp.org)

The goal of Science Olympiad is to provide children with activities designed to spark the imagination and illuminate the world of science. Student teams spend several months meeting to practice, experiment, create and study in preparation for events. Both student and teacher Science Olympiad goals are to improve the quality of science education, increase student interest in science, and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in science education.

We are asking that families be committed for the duration of the program period, including regular attendance (on non-early release Wednesdays, October 24th through March 27th) and the Elementary Science Olympiad Competition on March 16, 2019 at Mira Loma High School.

Our Elementary Science Olympiad Team (3rd-5th grades) is looking for curious students with a love of science to join the team. Please review and complete this flyer (Elementary Science Olympiad Application) and submit to the office if you would like to join.

Please email Mr. T (rthomas@cacmp.org) for information on joining the Upper Elementary team.
