All CMP families should plan for school to be closed through May 1st. For additional information, view the news article here: cacmp.org/News/schoolclosure.
Welcome to the Magnolia Class web page. General resources can be found here, but classroom newsletters, permission slips and other specific classroom information is posted to ParentSquare and is only accessible by classroom parents. Please contact the office if you need support accessing your ParentSquare.
Click the 'Magnolia Class Teaching Team' link on the top left of this page for your teacher's contact information.
Hello Magnolia families,
It was wonderful chatting with several of you last week on the phone. We are happy to note that you have a routine figured out and seem to be getting in the groove of navigating distance learning. We (teachers) have had many technology training sessions these past couple of weeks and we are hoping to put it all to good use in the coming weeks.
One of the platforms we found most exciting was 'Zoom Meetings'. We would like to invite all Magnolia students for a welcome meeting on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:30 AM. This will also be a great opportunity for Magnolia students to explore and experience Zoom, while connecting with the rest of our classroom community. Please follow the link below to join this meeting, if you are able to. We can't wait to "see" you there!
Here is another important update! Each student has been invited to Google Classroom. They will have several invites to different classes. They should expect to be invited to a grade level math and language class, grade level history and science class and their regular Magnolia class page. They are familiar with this format as they have used it in the past with Mr. Kevin. If they have any trouble logging in, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. We will walk them through it. As we move to a potentially more long term distance learning situation, these Google Classrooms will help us provide meaningful lessons and extension work for our students.
We know our students have worked hard on their STEAM projects this past month and we would like to honor their effort and creativity. We ask that students email their completed projects to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com before Friday, April 3. Please see below for specific details:
We understand it is not how we had initially planned to share your amazing work, but we would like to make the most of it. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
