Welcome to the Fig Class web page. General resources can be found here, but classroom newsletters, permission slips and other specific classroom information is posted to ParentSquare and is only accessible by classroom parents. Please contact the office if you need support accessing your ParentSquare.
Click the 'Fig Class Teaching Team' link on the top left of this page for your teacher's contact information.
Hello Fig families,
It has been wonderful connecting with many of you over email and by phone. Seeing pictures of the students and hearing from them definitely lifts my spirits while away from the classroom. Please continue to reach out if you want to say hi or need any help. This week's planner along with the list of learning opportunities are attached.
Here is an important update! Each student has been invited to Google Classroom. They will have several invites to different classes. They should expect to be invited to a grade level math and language class, grade level history and science class and their regular Fig class page. They are familiar with this format as they have used it in the past with Mr. Kevin. If they have any trouble logging in please reach out to me at email@example.com and I will walk them through it. As we potentially move to a more long term distance learning situation, these Google Classrooms will help us provide meaningful lessons and extension work for our students. Please be looking for more detailed information and instructions from our tech department.
Please be on the look out for an invite to have our first Fig Zoom meeting. It will be by grade level for the first round so we can see how it goes and limit the number of students on the screen. The invite will come via Parent Square and will have a link to click on. The links will also be listed in Google Classroom.
We know our students have worked hard on their STEAM projects this past month and we would like to honor their effort and creativity. We ask that students email their completed projects to Mrs. Barton at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com before Friday, April 3. Please see below for specific details:
We understand it is not how we had initially planned to share our students' amazing work, but we would like to make the most of it. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
