Dear Birch Families,
It was so great to see a majority of our students on Zoom last week! It was truly the highlight of our week to see their smiling faces! If you were not able to join us this time, we hope to see you soon.
A few updates coming this week...
Distance Learning- We have attached another printable planner to help guide your child through this week's distance learning activities.
Google Classroom- As we continue into our distance learning, we want to share a small preview of what is coming after spring break. We are encouraging all of our students to log into their Google Classroom accounts this week. Students can do this by logging into their cacmp.net account via Google. Students should see invitations to a grade level math and language class, grade level social studies and science and their Birch class page. There may be a few other pages to come. Students should be familiar with this format as Mrs. Parker has used Google Classroom for writing. If they have any trouble logging in please reach out to one of us and we can walk you through. As we potentially move to a more long term distance learning situation, these Google Classrooms will help us provide meaningful lessons and extension work for our students.
Birch Students- Join us daily on the Birch Google Classroom page! While most of these classrooms will not have assignments posted until after spring break, our Birch Google Classroom will have some things you don't want to miss! Join us each day as we create a quick post for you to comment on. We have also added some additional fun learning opportunities in the classroom assignment section.
STEAM Projects- We know our students have worked hard on their STEAM projects this past month and we would like to honor their effort and creativity. We ask that students email their completed projects to us at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org (use the .net extension, if your child is using their .net Google account) before Friday, April 3, if you have not already done so.
Please see below for specific details:
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are here to walk by your side through all of this and want to support you in any way we can. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Mrs. Rosen, Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Gilbert
